Volunteer Marketing Coordinator

As a strong believer in the power of community organization as a tool for brand managements, when our hobbyist community was rebuilding post-Covid-19 I stepped up to help two local organizations with different events in the coming years.

With Traveling Controller I was a volunteer lead Marketing coordinator from 2022-2023. With Traveling Controller I helped organized the advertising, social media strategy, and community development for our monthly and annual events. Our largest event of the year saw over 100 attendees and our monthly events saw as high as 70-80 attendees.

With Boston Blue Beat during 2024-2025 we served as a volunteer marketing strategist and creative lead for the largest yearly regional event for our hobby in the New England area. I helped coordinate and advise artists and technical talent helping them achieving quality marketing content that followed the organizations brand guidelines. During 2024 I was also the lead decorator helping give the event a unique looks and feel to differentiate the event from other regional events. We saw over 400 attendendees and over 500 attendees at our latest annual event.

As part of our strategy for these events we used community sourced up and coming talent. I helped encourage and gave marketing projects structured for developing and harnessing news skills and talent while giving our artists and technical talent a sense of positive contribution to their community. As a result we have had several artists and film editors blossom in recent years as they found themselves more able to contribute to community projects at a higher quality and with their own designs in mind for achieveing community outreach after my tenure.
