Jump Start was our community's premier launch event for a newly released e-sports title. Our launch event was a coordinated effort between two other events during the week of the game's launch requiring our marketing efforts be tightly timed and well coordinated with other launch events in the area so they would not reduce attendance between events.
As our community's lead marketing coordinator I was responsible for creating a marketing strategy document and ensuring that all deliverables were made at a quality and timing consistent with our teams marketing strategy. I was responsible for personnel management, talent recruitment and cultivating community members to achieve professional development goals so they would be capable of future events on this events scale. Additionally I was in charge of estimating a budget and ensuring resources were spent within that budget to achieve marketing goals.
Our advertising and ad copy required working with paid and unpaid professionals to make the assets required. I was the primary contact for requesting deliverables and ensuring on time payments when applicable. Some of our marketing assets were in both English and Spanish which required timely communication with volunteer translators to ensure ad copy accuracy. I was the final decision maker in ensuring all marketing assets conformed to our brand guidelines.
